Driving through New Zealand is very beautiful.
In Rotorua we stayed in a hostel that was next to Kuirau Park which was full of boiling mud pools, steam vents and free thermal foot pools. These are absolutely fascinating to watch. It can be very warm especially if the steam is blown your way. There is also a very strong smell of sulphur.

On the Sunday we went to Whakarewarewa Thermal Village where we had a tour, saw a show and had some food cooked in the boiling waters.
